Connie Gorman greets a lively lunch crowd at McCool’s. The family owned restaurant and bar features at least a dozen craft beers on tap at any time. Those who want to sit at the bar and sample an array of today’s hottest craft beers will not be disappointed. On a recent visit, the stock included everything from Stone Brewing Co’s Tangerine IPA to Three Floyd’s Yum Yum to Tallgrass Brewing’s Buffalo Sweat Stout.
McCool’s welcomes lunch and dinner customers with a friendly smile, a full menu of American fare and favorite appetizers. The hamburgers, and the Gorman family, get raves on the “McCool Tavern” Facebook page.
The Gormans have upped the ambience in the long-standing local hangout with a fresh, clean look, fireplace and homey decor. Nestled in downtown Angola amid large, well-stocked antique store and other shopping opportunities, McCool’s is a nice stop for an afternoon browse.
